Surely many of you reading this will have already heard about the logging library vulnerability issue impacting those who use Java. We want to reiterate that this issue does not affect FrameFlow's software or website as we don't use Java in either code.
Security is of the utmost concern to us at FrameFlow and we pride ourselves in providing material that will help you keep your installation safe. To make sure you're operating FrameFlow at the highest security level, view our Security Best Practices guide and follow the steps we've detailed. The guide is also available in PDF format.
Log in and update to FrameFlow 2021.16 to receive the latest from our services if you haven't already! Two new releases have come out since the last newsletter, so make sure to double-check.
The changes we made in FrameFlow v2021.15 are chronicled in our blog post titled "What's New in FrameFlow v2021.15". You can also find them in our change log, but we'll go over them here as well.
We added an Installation Health Event Monitor to watch aspects of your monitoring configuration. With it, you can monitor remote node self-updates, the length of your monitoring queue, and other aspects of monitoring itself. Use it to detect and bypass monitoring problems that may have otherwise gone undiscovered.
The information returned by this event monitor can be seen below:
Other changes for 2021.15 include new breadcrumb navigation as well as changes to tickets, maintenance windows, and new features for existing event monitors. Read up on it today!
FrameFlow version 2021.16 addresses bugs found in .15 and earlier releases. If you have .15 but not .16, make sure to update at your earliest convenience to avoid any issues.
We recently created a tutorial all about the graph dashboard panel, teaching you how to create stunning custom graphs to display all your important metrics. It's part of a collection of dashboard panel tutorials we've been releasing on the Features page.
Each graph you create can be tailored to fit your needs. You can choose the metrics, date range, and style that your graph will use. Completed graphs can be displayed on your dashboards just like any other panel. Make sure to check out the full tutorial to learn how to use all of the graph panel's features!
We're only about halfway through our mission to highlight the features available in our dashboards section. A sneak peek of what's next can be found below:
We want to remind you one more time to log in and upgrade to v2021.16 to continue receiving up-to-date services. Users who were experiencing issues with versions .14 and .15 are especially encouraged to update.
That's all for this newsletter! Thanks for tuning in. Get in touch with any questions or comments about our latest release and have a wonderful beginning to 2022.
Sincerely,
The FrameFlow Team
