Monitors CPU usage for your VMware VMs.
The VMware VMs CPU Usage Event Monitor keeps track of various CPU usage metrics for your VMware VMs. You can set alerting parameters for CPU usage and CPU readiness that will let you know when the CPU conditions are sub-optimal.
This event monitor provides the following options:
Use this option to be alerted if the event monitor cannot contact the device.
Use this option to set alert levels for when the average CPU usage exceeds percentages that you specify.
Use this option to set alert levels for when the maximum CPU usage exceeds percentages that you specify.
Use this option to receive alerts if the CPU readiness exceeds values that you specify.
Use this option to be alerted if the average CPU ready time exceeds values that you specify.
Enter the names of VMs you want the event monitor to ignore entirely.
The account that you specify must have view permissions for the VMware REST API or have admin rights.
This event monitor generates the following data points:
Data Point | Description |
---|---|
Average CPU Readiness | The average readiness of the CPU. |
Average CPU Usage | The average amount of time the CPU was processing information. |
CPU Ready Time | The amount of time the VM was ready to use CPU. |
