Uses standard ICMP pings to run a traceroute to one or more systems.
The Traceroute Event Monitor checks the traceroutes of your servers for changes in the route and other differences between event monitor runs. It uses standard ICMP pings to do so.
This event monitor provides the following options:
Use this option to alert based on the average response time for each hop.
Use this option to alert based on the maximum response time for each hop.
Most routes are static. If they change, it can indicate an accidental configuration change or other network issue. Use this option to get alerts if the route has changed since the last run.
Choose the maximum number of hops that the event monitor will follow.
Select the number of ping requests that will be sent for each hop.
Select the maximum time that the event monitor will wait for ping responses.
This event monitor does not require authentication or specific security rights.
This event monitor doesn't generate any data points.
