Modbus Event Monitor

Uses Modbus to check the network parameters on remote devices.

Overview

The Modbus Event Monitor checks the network parameters on remote devices and alerts based on conditions you specify. This event monitor allows you to specify multiple IDs for values that you want to monitor.

  • Automatically retrieving Modbus values
  • Creating custom data points with the calculation option

Monitoring Options

This event monitor provides the following options:

Port Number

Select the port number used to connect the event monitor.

Retries

Enter the number of times the event monitor should try to connect before giving up.

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if the Modbus values are not found

Use this option to be alerted if the Modbus values aren't found.

Include a table of the result data

Use this option to add a table of the result data to the event monitor's results.

Items to Monitor

Use this option to select the items you would like to monitor.

Calculations

Use these options to create calculations that help you monitor the data.

Authentication and Security

This event monitor does not require any authentication.

Data Points

This event monitor will generate one data point for each item in the "Items to Monitor" section and each item in the calculation section.
