Monitors managed apps deployment status using Microsoft Intune

Overview

The Microsoft Intune Managed Apps Event Monitor watches the status of managed apps on connected devices and alerts about problems with the deployment of said apps.

Use Cases

  • Receiving alerts about failed managed app installations
  • Keeping an up-to-date list of all managed apps across devices

Monitoring Options

This event monitor provides the following options:

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if Azure cannot be contacted

This option will send you an alert if FrameFlow cannot establish a connection with Azure.

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if the device is not found in Microsoft Intune

This alert will be triggered if one or more of the devices you've added to the monitor cannot be found in Intune.

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if the device has a pending managed app to install

With this option enabled, the event monitor will send you an alert if the installation of any managed app is pending.

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if the device has a failed managed app installation

Use this option to receive an alert if the event monitor detects a failed managed app installation.

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if the device has a managed app that is not installed

This option will send an alert of your choice if the event monitor detects a managed app that is not installed on the device.

Include a table of managed apps [before all/after all] event text

This option adds a table of managed apps to the event text generated each time this event monitor runs.

Only check the following managed apps

Use this option to designate a list of apps to check, adding the name of each new app on its own line. Apps you do not include in this list will be skipped.

Managed apps to ignore

Enter a list of managed apps to ignore here, adding each app name on a separate line.

Authentication and Security

The account used to authenticate must have the following permissions at both the application and delegated level:

  • User.Read
  • Organization.Read.All
  • DeviceManagementManagedDevices.ReadWrite.All
  • DeviceManagementManagedDevices.Read.All
  • DeviceManagementConfiguration.Read.All
  • DeviceManagementConfiguration.ReadWrite.All
  • DeviceManagementApps.Read.All
  • DeviceManagementApps.ReadWrite.All
