Meraki VPN Status Event Monitor

Receiving alerts about VPN tunnel status for Meraki devices

Overview

The Meraki VPN Status Event Monitor watches and alerts about the status of the VPN tunnels that have been configured for each connected Meraki device.

Use Cases

  • Receiving alerts about VPN link status changes
  • Getting alerted when any VPN link goes down

Monitoring Options

This event monitor provides the following options:

Organization

Enter the Meraki organization name the event monitor will use to connect.

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if the Meraki API cannot be contacted

Use this option to receive an alert of your choice if FrameFlow cannot contact your device.

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if the status of a VPN link changes

This option sends you an alert of your choice if any VPN link's status changes.

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if any VPN link is down

Use this option to receive an alert if the event monitor detects that any VPN link is down.

Note: This event monitor only works with the "Router" Meraki device type.

Authentication and Security

The authentication profile you choose must be of the type "Meraki" and include your Meraki API key.

Protocols

Data Points

This event monitor generates one data point for every VPN link where status=1 if it's connected and status=0 if it is not when the event monitor runs.
