Meraki Interface Event Monitor

Updates and alerts on interface stats for Meraki devices.

Overview

The Cisco Meraki Interface Event Monitor watches over your Meraki interfaces and sends you alerts about their status.

Use Cases

  • Receiving alerts about interface status changes
  • Closely monitoring favorite interfaces with dedicated settings

Monitoring Options

This event monitor provides the following options:

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if the Meraki API cannot be contacted

Use this option to receive an alert of your choice if FrameFlow cannot contact your device.

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if an interface status changes

This option will send an alert if any interface status changes between event monitor runs.

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if any favorite interface is down

This option will alert you with your choice of alert if any interface marked as favorite is down.

Note: This event monitor only works with the managed switch (MS) Meraki device type.

Authentication and Security

The authentication profile you choose must be of the type "Meraki" and include your Meraki API key.

Protocols

Data Points

This event monitor generates a data point for each port detected that denotes if the interface is up or down. If it's up, the event monitor will return a value of 1. The event monitor will return a value of 0 if the interface is down.
