The Linux/SSH Swap Event Monitor watches connected servers via SSH and alerts about device swap usage size, percentage, and more.

Monitoring Options

This event monitor provides the following options:

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if the SSH server is unreachable

This option will send you an alert of your choice if the event monitor can't contact the SSH server.

Alert if the device swap usage is greater than a specified size

Use this option to receive an alert if the device swap usage exceeds the sizes you specify for each alert level.

Alert if the device swap usage is greater than a specifed percentage

This option alerts you if device swap usage exceeds the percentages you specify.

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if swap is enabled

Use this option to receive an alert if swap is enabled.

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if swap is disabled

Use this option to receive an alert if swap is disabled.

Include a list of swap devices in all notifications

This option lets you include a list of swap devices in the notifications the event monitor generates.

Include a list of swap processes in all notifications

This option lets you include a list of swap processes in the notifications the event monitor generates.

Include a table of the result data [before all/after all] event text

Use this option to include a table of result data in the event text the event monitor generates each time it runs.

Authentication and Security

The account used for authentication must have login rights via SSH.

This event monitor generates the following data points:

Data Point	Description
Swap Enabled	Whether or not swap is enabled, where 1=Yes and 0=No.
Swap Percentage	Swap percentage out of 100.
Swap Usage	The swap usage, measured in MB.
