LDAP Event Monitor

Checks the availability of LDAP on remote servers.

Overview

The LDAP Event Monitor verifies that connections are being accepted on the standard LDAP port (port 389).

Use Cases

  • Ensuring that LDAP servers are accepting incoming requests

Monitoring Options

This event monitor provides the following options:

Time Out

This option tells the event monitor how long to wait for a response from the LDAP server.

Port Number

Most LDAP servers listen on port 389, but if your LDAP server is using a non-standard port, you can use this option to specify it.

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] for failures

Select the alert level for notifications when the event monitor cannot connect to the LDAP server.

Authentication and Security

This event monitor does not require authentication.
