Meraki Bandwidth Event Monitor

Monitors and alerts on bandwidth data for Meraki devices.

Overview

The Meraki Bandwidth Event Monitor connects to your Cisco Meraki devices and alerts about incoming, outgoing, and total bandwidth rates.

Use Cases

  • Receiving separate alerts about incoming, outgoing, and total bandwidth
  • Singling out systems that are using excessive bandwidth

Monitoring Options

This event monitor provides the following options:

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if the device cannot be contacted

Use this option to receive an alert of your choice if FrameFlow cannot contact your device.

Alert based on the incoming bandwidth rate

This option provides customizable alert thresholds that alert on the incoming bandwidth rate per second.

Alert based on the outgoing bandwidth rate

Use this option to be alerted about the outgoing bandwidth rate.

Alert based on the total bandwidth rate

This option will alert you based on the total bandwidth rate.

Note: This event monitor only works with the managed switch (MS) Meraki device type.

Authentication and Security

The authentication profile you choose must be of the type "Meraki" and include your Meraki API key.

This event monitor generates the following data points:

Data Point Description
Incoming Rate The incoming bandwidth rate for the specified port.
Outgoing Rate The outgoing bandwidth rate for the specified port.
Total Rate The total bandwidth rate for the specified port.
